Beaches

Tenby South Beach

This photo was taken at 10am in August. No rush to get a space, take your time and relax. We are at the other end. The walk is between 15 & 30 mins depending on children

South Beach (Penally End)

Tenby South Beach from the Penally entrance (our end). This end is always quite with very few people to share the beach with er than the odd dog walker. If you don't like busy beaches you will love it

Barafundle Bay

You have to walk across the hills, through farm fields and down some stone steps to reach Barafundle Bay beach. It is hidden, very quite but no amenities, so bring everything you need with you

Broad Haven South Beach

Bosherston Lakes is a national trust property with amazing Lilly ponds. The beach is 30 min walk through the ponds. This is tough for small children & push chairs but one of our secluded favourites

Tenby Castle Beach

Another beach in Tenby? All the beaches are very close together. This one is a little busier than South Beach due to closeness of the town centre. It has a boat launch for day trips

Manorbier Beach

Manorbier Castle has a small rocky beach. Even if you are not a fan of rocky beaches there is good body boarding opportunities and a castle. There is zero mobile phone signal

Saundersfoot Beach

Saundersfoot is 10 minutes away. There is an amazing old fashioned sweet shop, with all the classic favourites which children & adults love. It is worth the day trip alone

Caldy Island Beach

Its a day trip beach if you fancy something different. Our house looks out at Caldy Island. You get there by boat and has a chocolate making monastery. Take everything you need with you

Lydstep Haven beach

We have always found Lydstep Haven (town) to be a quick stop off to stretch your legs and see the beach. In our opinion it isn't a one for spending the entire day for beach activities

Tenby Harbour Beach

The Tenby Harbour beach is very close to the town centre and is worth walking along for history, boats & the coast guard station.

Freshwater East beach

Freshwater East is a favourite with water sports casual & serious. South beach has some surf at the correct times but Freshwater is more consistent

Presipe Bay

One thing Pembrokeshire has is lots of hidden secluded beaches. While this means you have to bring everything with you, it does mean few other people
